Excellent quality & design, but SO big
My husband and I have a lot from the New Wave collection since we picked it for our wedding registry. The quality of Villeroy & Boch is superb. Very sturdy and still beautiful 8 years later. We recently added these large round New Wave plates to our collection for our Thanksgiving plates and as expected, the quality & design are tops. I guess I didn't quite measure them out when purchasing online, because when they arrived, I laughed at just how big they are. Definitely good for a large meal and a table statement, but we ended up not using them for every day meals.

great, multipurpose bowl
These bowls were purchased mainly for rice, but having seen it now I think it'll serve well as a dipping/sauce/side dishes/apps, just about anything you need a small bowl to use in setting a nice table. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I find the bottom rim is not evenly flush as with the rest of the sides of the bowl. I'm not sure if it's due to the production process, but it kind of looks like the sides of the bowl made its way down and collected all the bottom creating a slight "bump/ring" all around the bottom. I've ordered plates, app dishes, platters and find this feature in only the small and large rice bowls. Still really liking my purchases!

New Wave Pattern
We purchased the New wave Pattern last year when you had it on sale. It was place settings for 6. We found we were always running out of plates, so when you ran the 4 place settings on sale this year we bought 2 more sets. we also have soup bowls and cereal bowls. We will be buying some serving pieces soon.
