Modern Dining

The Modern Dining collection is inspired by vintage patterns on old Villeroy & Boch tiles that have been newly interpreted. The youthful porcelain series follows the culinary trend that ‘bowls are the new plates’.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of regular milk or almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder, turmeric paste or 1-2 cm of turmeric root
  • 1/2 tsp. chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp. honey, or more if desired
Preparation

Warm the milk, the turmeric powder with the ginger in a pot, and allow the ingredients to steep for about 10 minutes. Then, use a mixer to mix the preparation at the highest level for about 1 minute. The result is a golden-yellow milk with sweet-spicy aroma. Sweeten it with a little hone and add a little cinnamon or vanilla bean for something extra.

You can also make the turmeric paste from water and turmeric powder instead. Cook a quarter cup of turmeric with three-quarters water for 11 minutes at low heat. The turmeric paste can stay in the refrigerator up to 3 weeks. The ‘Golden Milk’ or turmeric latte can be made so easily.

“To make it lump-free, Matcha tea is best mixed with a special matcha broom. Then, add foamed almond, coconut or soy milk to taste.”

  • 8 cardamom pods
  • 4 star anise
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 700 ml milk or vegan milk alternative
  • 70g brown sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1l water
  • 6 Rooibos tea bags
