CHRISTMAS BISCUITS

Baking, serving & storing

We’ve associated Christmastime with the smell of cinnamon, vanilla and freshly baked biscuits since our childhood. They sweeten the run-up to Christmas and the holidays in the form of stars, gingerbread men or other pretty shapes. Baking with others and then serving those treats using our decorative porcelain creates a very contemplative atmosphere, in stark contrast to today’s fast-paced world. Find inspiration in the Villeroy & Boch Christmas bakery and get ideas for delicious Christmas biscuits.

Great for the Advent and Christmas period

“A beautiful pattern that does not look overly extravagant or as flamboyant as other Christmas dishes.”

What is the best way to store Christmas biscuits?

In the Middle Ages, monks used to store their cookies in cool and dry places, wrapped in cloths or in earthenware pots, in a cellar or a hole in the ground. Other methods are preferred today. It is best to keep biscuits in an airtight jar to ensure they retain their flavour and texture. You can find suitable storage containers in our Winter Bakery Delight collection.

A feast for the eyes: perfect tableware for Christmas baking

Plastic containers are ideal for storing food in the kitchen cupboard but we need something a little more festive for the table. After all, we eat with our eyes too! Store some of your Christmas biscuits in Villeroy & Boch’s beautifully designed Winter Bakery Delight pastry box to make sure you always have a tempting treat ready to offer visitors. Bowls or a cake stand are also ideal to present home-made treats in style.
