Elegant design with artistic signature
Christian Haas worked in Munich after completing his studies in Industrial Design and then went on to open a design studio in Paris in 2007. He has been living and working in Porto since 2015. His creative works range from product designs for porcelain, glass, lamps and furniture to interior design concepts for well-known customers throughout the world. In addition to his first bathroom collection, Antheus, Christian Haas has also designed several tableware collections, such as Urban Nature, Artesano Original and La Classica Nuova, for Villeroy & Boch. The unmistakable hallmark of his work is the playful harmony of reductionism and individuality that are clear and inspiring at the same time. His designs tell stories that reflect the core of company brands and products.
The special feeling Chistian Haas has for ceramics has been recognized by many famous design prizes awarded to his designs for Villeroy & Boch tableware. He won the Grand Prix de l’Art de Vivre in 2008, the Red Dot Design Award in 2013, and the German Design Award in 2017. His glass and porcelain series for other manufacturers have also won important design prizes such as the DDC Award and the Design Plus Award.
