The siphonic toilet is now the most widely used model in our bathrooms. Excrement falls directly into the water-filled siphon, inhibiting odor development. However, occasional splashing may occur. The absence of a ledge inside the toilet bowl makes this type of toilet easier to clean. In a classic washdown toilet, excrement first falls onto a ledge. This can be useful if you need to take a stool sample. However, odor development is a disadvantage. This is one reason why this flush system is now found mainly in bathrooms at doctors’ offices or hospitals and is becoming increasingly rare in domestic bathrooms.
The SupraFix 3.0 toilet mounting system offers the option of installing the toilet seat either flush with the bowl or slightly protruding, depending on the customer’s preferences. Of course, SupraFix 3.0 still offers all the advantages of the SupraFix 2.0 toilet mounting system: quick and easy installation from above by just one person and concealed connections for a clean look in the bathroom.

Everyday maintenance
All Villeroy & Boch bathroom ceramics, including our toilets, feature a smooth, dense and virtually scratch-proof surface that is resistant to all common household acids and alkalis. In most cases, fresh water and a damp cloth are all you need to clean your ceramic toilet. Water marks, residual grease or soap can be removed easily using a bathroom cleaner or vinegar-based cleaning product. If you would like to avoid harsh chemicals entirely, you can use household vinegar or diluted vinegar essence to clean your toilet of limescale deposits.
Care of CeramicPlus
For regular care of bathroom surfaces with CeramicPlus finish, we recommend a standard general-purpose cleaner and a household sponge with a soft, non-abrasive surface or a microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive powder cleaners, as over time their use could impair the water-repellent effect of your ceramic toilet.
