Pro Architectura - Duschwanne-Bausysteme

Installation procedure:

  • Produce a recess in the floor corresponding to the size of the shower tray. An additional impact sound insulation course of 10 mm in thickness improves soundproofing up to a level of 22 db when installing a rigid foam shower tray support. The shower tray depth of the different variants is 10 mm in each case.
  • Install a suitable drain in the floor, e.g. Dallmer thin-bed drain case 48 CD with horizontal outlet or Dallmer thin-bed drain case 49 CD with vertical outlet, which is also available as a fire-resistant variant.
  • Ensure an adequate slope to the floor inlet. When using a rigid foam shower tray support, a suitable drain with horizontal or vertical outlet is already pre-installed.
  • Install a composite seal (stress group A1, A2) in accordance with the information leaflet “Instructions on producing seals in combination with linings and coverings consisting of tiles and slabs for indoor and outdoor applications”, issued by the Zentralverband des Deutschen Baugewerbes (Central association of the German building industry).
  • Lay tiles by means of the thin bed method in accordance with DIN 18157, using a suitable tile cement in accordance with DIN EN 12004, class C2. Minimum of class ”B“ slip resistance required for public barefoot areas.
  • Joint the tile covering with a hydraulic ready-mixed jointing mortar or a cold-curing resin jointing mortar (cold-curing resins are more resistant than cement-bonded jointing mortars to mechanical strain resulting from long-term subjection to water jets, high-pressure cleaners, aggressive cleaning agents, etc.).
