Villeroy & Boch was the first ceramics company to obtain comprehensive certification for the entire area of building ceramics.
In 1995 the Tiles Division achieved certification in line with the international quality standard DIN EN ISO 9001. On 1.1.2006 the Tiles Division became V&B Fliesen GmbH, which has also received ISO 9001 certification.

This system is based on the essential understanding that quality does not begin and end with the product itself. This certification obliges Villeroy & Boch to submit to auditing by the accredited certification agency at regular intervals, in order to ensure compliance with the introduced quality management system. On the basis of its documentation and verification requirements, this system provides a means of testing and controlling all the resources which are required in the manufacture and marketing of high-quality products.
