Functional modernism in a wealth of varieties –
The Subway sink concept is now being augmented
Subway – that is the name of the successful new concept from Villeroy & Boch encompassing ceramic sinks that feature clear forms, persuasive functional purism and incredible versatility. This is because Subway offers top-quality kitchen sinks in a huge variety of sizes and installation options, among them flat-and-flush and untermount, sinks with or without lockable refuse basins and with or without drainboards.
Something new in the Subway portfolio will be that one of the three "smaller" versions comes without a drainboard: Subway XS for untermounted cabinets, 45 cm each, and Subway XM for 60 cm, each for both flat-and-flush and normal installation, also Subway XU as an undermount. The Subway XR with drainboard and lockable refuse basin can be added to 60 cm undermounts. Such new sinks use the straight-lined shaping so typical for Subway to make them especially versatile and open up a vast number of new opportunities of spotlighting the sink area. The new sinks are thus perfect for any who value individualistic kitchen layouts and contemporary design but don't want to do without proper functionality.
A Subway sink for every need
The Subway sink concept encompasses a huge selection of top-quality ceramic sinks, each with a persuasive, purist design and great functionality. For instance, there are Subway sinks for undermount cabinetry measuring 45, 50, 60 and 80 cm. All sinks are available in Villeroy & Boch colours and, if desired, with left-handed basins. For 60 cm undermount cabinetry there is also the Subway 60 XL with an extra-large basin and a diagonal of 53 cm. The Subway flat, with the basin on the right, can be installed flat-and-flush into the countertop surface. This means that there is a Subway sink for virtually any kitchen layout, ergonomic demand and taste. Matching accessories, such as a stainless steel sieve and wire basket, ex-centre operation and a smooth, robust, universal birch-wood cutting board with integrated juice channel round out the Subway family of sinks.
