Villeroy & Boch Hotel & Restaurant Division: Sedona

"Sedona" innovative design concept extends to complete series

"Sedona" is the name of Villeroy & Boch's successful design concept, which provides an extremely contemporary interpretation of the classical tableware relief theme. Discretely, almost subtly woven elegant lines give rise to an ingenious and stylish pattern which draws attention to the plate's content. In this way, it makes the tableware an elegant framework for delicate culinary creations.

For spring 2009, Villeroy & Boch's Hotel & Restaurant Division is presenting a line extension to "Sedona" and in so doing, is developing its plate concept into a complete series. A further 36 pieces from the "Marchesi" and "Dune" series – including various cups, plates, dishes, bowls and platters – are now being added to the popular 29-cm "Marchesi" plates. Linking the items is a common relief-pattern design element which is produced using a high-quality "white on white" colour-printing technique. The surprising alternatives arising from combining two different shades of white open up a new decorating dimension, which characterises porcelain's exceptional stylish beauty. Reminiscent of the structure of a delicate textile, the smooth feel of the pattern's surface lends the porcelain an additional, sensuous element which says, "Feel the new expressive styles by Villeroy & Boch".
