Gateway to new style worlds. The Empire Riverside Hotel rises high above Hamburg’s landing stages: an imposing hotel tower decorated in bronze with tremendous views of the harbour and the river Elbe, situated between the famous Reeperbahn and the historical Speicherstadt. When designing the façade and the interior, star architect David Chipperfield was inspired by the myth of the ocean liners that set sail from Hamburg’s harbour, the “gateway to the world”, in the 1930s. It is not only its prominent location that makes this 4-star hotel an innovative and yet authentic Hamburg highlight.
